Make an Appointment - Writing & Learning Services

Make an appointment in 3 steps. Step 1: Select a staff member. Step 2: Select an available date. Step 3: Select an available timeslot.

Students can book up to two hours per week of tutor appointments. Appointments are released 14 days in advance and new appointments are released daily. Check back often.

Book an appointment in 5 steps:

  1. Select the area you'd like help with and then select a tutor from the dropdown menu.
  2. Select an available date.
  3. Select an available timeslot.
  4. Click submit.
  5. You will receive a confirmation email.

In-Person Appointments: Meet the tutor in person.

Online Appointments: Select synchronous for a live zoom meeting with the tutor and asynchronous if you would prefer to attach your paper and receive an email with feedback at the end of the booked session.

Cancellations: If you cannot attend a session for any reason, please cancel it ahead of time so others can book it. Note: more than 2 missed appointments may result in loss of online booking ability.

Drop-in Online: If tutors are available, they can help you during their regular shifts online. You can consult the winter schedule above. Here is a link for online meetings.

Drop-In: Please visit the Research Help desk in the Library Commons 10:00 am - 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday to Wednsday and 10:00 am - 4:00 pm on Thursdays and Fridays

Pop-up Station: Pop-up Writing and Communication tutoring is offered at the Frank Holmes Centre, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm. You can book appointments using our online system.
